For the past nine years, Stand Up To Coal has been a grassroots organization of local stakeholders. We have never had official status or structure. As 2017 came to a close, we decided to take the necessary steps to become an incorporated not-for-profit entity. We did not come to this decision lightly. We decided that incorporation is the best tool available to support ongoing fundraising efforts and continue our intense focus on preventing this mine from opening. The core team at Stand Up To Coal volunteer their time for this endeavor on top of their regular occupations.
As the next step of our incorporation, we would like to add you to our growing membership list. For a donation of $25, you can become an official member of Stand Up To Coal. We also welcome additional donations to support our ongoing work, such as postage and legal fees, stopping the proposed Bulldog Mine.
